1 Samuel 1:27

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.

Where has the time gone?

He is now 7 months, but these were his 6 months pictures. I think they are just great!
This is only a few of the pictures; she probably took over 50.
He was such a good boy that day. He just kept smiling.

Truck or Treat

At our church we have Truck or Treat. Families decorate their vehicles and we have trick or treat. Nathan was going to be Mike the Tiger but it was hot, so we skipped on the the tiger top. Randi, his big cousin, was their with us. We had a lot of fun.

Fall is a fun time.

FUN AT THE PUMPKIN PATCH!

I am sure he didn't get as much out of going to the pumpkin patch as I did, but it will be a fun tradition to have.

My baby is growing and eating baby food!

Nathan had his 4 month checkup this week. Can you believe he is already 4 months?
He weighed 15 lbs 1 1/2 oz and was 25 inches long.
The pediatricain said he was perfect! Of course, we already knew that.
We started baby foods this week. The pictures below will tell the story. I apologize but the pictures are in reverse order, so please look from the bottom up to get the story.
The picture above......We found a winner! Sweet Peas!!! He couldn't get enough. I started with just a little bit and had to go back for 2nds and 3rds. In the end it was only about half the container, but this was his first real food. I tried to add more pictures of the sweet pea meal, but I ran out of space. Trust me he liked it. It was so much fun!!!

The picture below & above was another attempt at rice cereal with a different spoon. As you can see he is still not a fan of it. The top picture looks like he wants the cereal, but believe me I don't think he really did.

We started trying to use the spoon about a week ago. I made his regular formula & cereal that he gets in his bottle, but a little thicker. Well, he didn't like it very much.
May be it was the spoon or maybe it was the cereal.

How Sweet are These?

My Handsome Little Man!!!!
The story behind Snoopy.....Snoopy was Ashley's when he was little, many years later his cousin's little girl claimed it, and when Nathan was born she gave it to Nathan. This Snoopy has now been owned by three different children and made a circle back to Ashley's life through Nathan.

Nathan being loved on by his cousin Ethan. It was so sweet, Ethan must have kissed him a dozen times.

Maddy giving Nathan kisses.

Now really, have you ever seen anything sweeter? Maddy & Ethan are Ashley's brother's children and they are visiting for a few weeks. It was so hot the day we took pictures and the kids did great, as you can see Nathan handled it well by going to sleep.

Summer Fun at Papaw's & Mamaw's

Nathan's first time swimming. He really likes the water. Don't worry all you aunts and grandmother's he had sunscreen SPF 55 on and only stayed in the water about 10-15 minutes.

Baby Dedication

Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old,
he will not depart from it."

This was a day I have been waiting for a long time to have. It took many years for us to have a baby and in God's time he surely blessed us with Nathan. Today we dedicated him to God.

There are so many things that I pray for our baby to have in his lifetime, but first and foremost it is for him to have a relationship with God. As our Pastor stated this morning, it is up to Nathan to chose to have God in his life, but it is up to us as parents to guide him and bring him up in a Christian home.

Family Times

This is Nathan's Great-Great Aunt Floy.
The picture below is 4 generations. Aunt Floy is the sister to Mr Reggie's dad.

This past weekend was Ashley's family reunion. Everyone seemed so excited to see Nathan. He really is a blessing in our life and as many there Saturday said, "He sure was prayed for." Many of you know how long we waited for Nathan to enter our lives. Thank you again to all of our families and friends who prayed for us, the pregnancy, and now for Nathan.

More Pictures

7 Weeks Old Today

Wow, how time keeps flying by. Nathan is growing so much and developing his own little personality. He as really started making his own little facial expressions, laughing, and cooing. He is sleeping good at night, but day time naps are few and short. I know be thankful for him sleeping at night.

I know you ladies will understand these pictures and the men will probably side with Ashley. These are my " my baby will only be a baby once pictures." They are cute and have fluffy blankets. Ashley, I am afraid, thinks they are not manly enough. I told him I have years ahead to take big boy manly pictures, but these where for me to remember his baby days. Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking at them, we have!

4 Weeks Old Today

Our Little Man is already growing up to fast . Wow, can it be that it has already been 4 weeks since he entered our lives and made us a family. We took pictures last night. I can't wait to see them and I will be sure to post a couple when I get them. He did pretty good, but in typical male fashion 1 pose and 1 blanket change would have been enough for him. Here a few snap shots to hold everyone until we get the others in.
